Apple Music Hits 60 Million Paid Subscribers Globally According to Apple’s Services Chief, Eddy Cue, who disclosed the new milestone to the French magazine Numerama (Via Music Business Worldwide) at a roundtable meeting in France: Apple Music now has 60 million paid subscribers globally. While Cue claimed Beats 1 streaming radio station to have “tens of millions of listeners”
Furthermore, Cue says that Apple Music is the most popular streaming service in the Apple ecosystem. And when the topic of iTunes being brought up, Cue said that he’s a fan of iTunes, but agreed that Apple Music is absolutely better in every way: “we have something better now and there’s no point in looking back.”
Cue went on to say that they are continually “perfecting” the platform across devices. With Music app’s time-synced lyrics feature is one of the examples, which will be debuted to all users this fall with iOS 13.
