Apple Rumored To Launch A New Mac That Targets At The E-Sports Market According to the Taiwan supply chain sources familiar with Apple’s product launch strategy (via Patently Apple), the company is said to introduce a new product at the WWDC Worldwide Developers Conference next June, a new Mac but specifically targeted at the e-sports market.
The specific nature of this new product is not yet known. It could be a Mac desktop or a Macbook gamebook, but one thing is guaranteed, this machine is going to be quite expensive starting at $5,000, which is almost twice as expensive as the 16-inch MBP notebook, although it’s $1,000 cheaper than the Mac Pro.
For Apple, there is no technical problem in making an e-sports-centric PC. Let alone the Mac Pro or 16-inch MacBook Pro, the gaming product is expected to have strong gaming performance. What’s more, we should also anticipate it to equip AMD’s RDNA2 architecture graphics card, and there is a big chance that this gaming PC will be based on the AMD platform.
