Apkmodsios.com This tweak makes your iPhone display the time in Roman Numerals
Roman Numerals are an acquired taste, but if you’ve come to appreciate them as a time display more than basic numbers, then we have a gut feeling that you’ll enjoy a newly released and free jailbreak tweak dubbed Tempus Romānum by iOS developer Ryan Nair.
Tempus Romānum can be used to replace both the Lock screen time and Status Bar time with a Roman Numeral-centric display, and it’s very easy to use.
While we’ve seen tweaks in the past that did one or the other, Tempus Romānum stands out from the crowd in that it changes two instances of the time in iOS to display Roman Numerals instead of traditional numbers. Examples of both are depicted in the screenshots found in this article.
Once installed, Tempus Romānum puts a preference pane in the Settings app where users can configure the tweak to their liking:
Here, you can:
- Toggle Tempus Romānum on or off on demand
- Enable or disable Roman Numeral time display on the Lock screen’s cover sheet
- Elect to use 24-hour time instead of 12-hour time
The developer includes a Respring button at the top right of the interface to save any changes you make, but unfortunately, doesn’t include an option to disable the Roman Numeral display in the Status Bar. That minor shortcoming aside, if you love Roman Numerals, you probably won’t be reaching for the disable switch anytime soon.
If you’re interested in trying Tempus Romānum, then you can download it for free from the Packix repository. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 13 devices and is open-sourced on the developer’s GitHub page.
